Running numerous real estate offices with a large team of real estate agents creates a need for lots and lots of printing, copying, and scanning on a day in day out basis and it is critical that the onsite copying equipment is dependable and that repair requests are completed quickly.
Furthermore, with a huge team of real estate agents working from their own laptops and frequently working in more than one office, it is critical that the team of agents has accessible support to configure new computers for printing and scanning, troubleshoot issues, and have support to overcome any challenges with individual print jobs.

Objective:
Dependable Copying Equipment– Fast Service – Help Desk Support to Onboard New Agents
Challenges:
Timely Support for a large team of Agents and Admin Personnel Spread Over a Dozen Offices and a Cost-Effective Solution to Provide Copying Equipment and Support to all offices. Prior to working with Common Sense Business Solutions, W Real Estate worked with another provider that provided similar equipment but did not have a local service center or a parts warehouse in the North Bay. This lack of a local service presence by the former provider resulted in slower than desired response time to repair needs and frequent delays when parts were needed and needed to be shipped from outside of the area. Additionally, when W Real Estate brought onboard new agents, the previous company charged by the hour for any help desk support necessary to configure agent’s laptops and devices to the existing printing equipment. W Real Estate needed maximum reliability and uptime from their equipment and fast, cost effective support to onboard new agents.
Solution:
Lightly owned Konica Minolta Color Copying Systems with low fixed pricing and locally based service and unlimited Help Desk Support to onboard and support agents. Common Sense Business Solutions provided a solution that addressed all of W Real Estate’s challenges. Because CSBS has a team of experienced service technicians along with a parts warehouse in Santa Rosa, we can quickly respond to all repair needs and have parts available locally to eliminate unnecessary delays in completing repairs. Additionally, CSBS provides online Help Desk support for all of W Real Estate agents to quickly and easily setup their laptops for network printing and scanning and to answer any questions regarding printing, scanning and copying. Lastly, CSBS provides W Real Estate lightly owned, Konica Minolta multifunction copying equipment and fixed cost service and supplies which has helped W Real Estate significantly lower their costs while simultaneously improving the support to their agents and administrative staff.
Summary:
W Real Estate has Konica Minolta multifunction color copy-print-scan systems in all of their offices so there is no leaning curve when their agents travel between their various offices. The Help Desk Support that CSBS provides to their agents saves them time and money during the initial onboarding phase with new agents. Common Sense Business Solutions’ local service support and parts warehouse ensures that W Real Estate’s copying, printing and scanning capabilities are available and in top working order ensuring that the critical paperwork and marketing materials are available without interruption.
Stark Reality Restaurants
Stark Reality Restaurants is a landmark collection of 7 locally owned and operated, quality restaurants in Sonoma County California.
Stark Reality Restaurants was looking for a reliable, convenient, and cost-effective means to print high-quality menus for their 7 Sonoma County restaurants.
Each restaurant has multiple menus that change frequently so they needed the ability to quickly and easily print their menus in real-time as menu changes occurred.

Objective:
Printing high-quality menus.
Challenges:
Heavy card stock, custom menu sizes, affordability, and fast turnaround time. Previously, Stark Reality Restaurants had experimented with outsourcing the printing of their menus to local printing companies and had also experimented with printing the menus on desktop laser printers. Unfortunately, because the menus changed frequently, it was inconvenient going to a printing company several times weekly and there was too much waste in throwing away pre-printed menus each time they made changes to the menu. The desktop laser printers they researched were ineffective printing on the heavier card stock and the cost of each menu was prohibitive due to the high cost of the replacement laser cartridges.
Solution:
Konica Minolta Color Copying Systems with low fixed pricing and onsite support. Common Sense Business Solutions was able to provide a solution that addressed all the restaurant needs at a fraction of the costs associated with the other menu printing options. Each of the 7 Stark Reality Restaurants has their own Konica Minolta Color Copying System setup to seamlessly handle the thick card stocks and custom size menu paper that has become a hallmark of the Stark dining experience. Because each restaurant has a Konica Minolta printer onsite, they can print menus daily to eliminate the wasted cost of throwing away obsolete menus. Additionally, with the fixed pricing program, the restaurants benefit from the same low menu cost whether printing 5 menus or 500 menus so there is no incentive to print more menus than needed. Any time service or supplies are needed, they can depend on onsite support within a few hours that is included in the fixed price model.
Summary:
Stark Reality Restaurants has worked with Common Sense Business Solutions for the past 10 years to provide the Konica Minolta Color Copying and Printing Systems used to produce their menus. The low, fixed price model that includes use of the equipment, service, support and supplies affords them the benefit of knowing exactly what each menu costs with no fluctuation in price. Because CSBS serves as a single point of contact provider with fixed pricing, any of Stark Reality Restaurant managers can contact CSBS directly for service or support without worry about additional charges. The result is that each of the 7 Stark Reality Restaurants can rest assured that printing their high-quality menus will always be fast, convenient, and cost effective with no surprises.

Objective:
Affordable Fixed Pricing, Dependable Print and Scan Equipment– Fast Service Response and Minimize Down Time on Equipment
Challenges:
Supporting Admin Personnel in a dozen separate offices, eliminating equipment downtime to support patient support printing and maintaining consistency of experience from one office to the next.
Prior to working with Common Sense Business Solutions, Bernstein Orthodontics utilized HP multifunction printers for their in-house printing and scanning. Because the HP printers did not have any technical support or training, all service, repair, and technical issues had to be handled by Bernstein Orthodontics internal staff. Because their internal staff had many more pressing tasks directly related to their business, there were often delays in resolving support issues relating to the printers which led to costly downtime and the inability to print patient records and receipts in a timely fashion.
Solution:
Local service and support for all offices, guaranteed service response times to eliminate downtime and Konica Minolta multifunction printers in every office.
Common Sense Business Solutions provided a solution that addressed all of Bernstein Orthodontics’ challenges. We replaced the off the shelf, HP printers with business class, Konica Minolta multifunction printers. Not only are the printers themselves better suited to handle the high volume of printing and scanning generated daily, CSBS also provided all-inclusive service, support, and supply plans with guaranteed, same-day response to all support and repair needs.
Summary:
Bernstein Orthodontics now has a consistent, uniform experience in each of their offices with the same Konica Minolta equipment, same pricing and same support program. Any time a new office is opened, a single phone call is all that is needed to get the new office outfitted with the same machine, maintenance plan and support. By creating a completely uniform system, Bernstein Orthodontics can rest assured they are getting a proven solution every time.
St. Vincent de Paul Church
In early 2011, Ross Wiffler of Common Sense Business Solutions met with the Kimberly Williams of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Petaluma to explore alternatives to their existing copy machine.
During the meeting, Kimberly shared that St. Vincent de Paul Church had a long-standing, 20+ year relationship with their existing vendor and felt confident that they were receiving the best pricing available for the type of equipment they had.
At the time of this meeting, St. Vincent de Paul Church was approaching the end of their existing copier lease and had already received a quote from their current vendor for a replacement option as well as competitive proposals from several competing companies.

Upon review of St. Vincent de Paul’s current lease agreement and service agreement and the pending replacement proposal from their existing vendor Common Sense Business Solutions concluded that we were able to provide a faster, more efficient copier with all-inclusive service and support agreement for less than one quarter the monthly cost proposed by their incumbent vendor. The savings were so dramatic that Kimberly Williams felt inclined to ask if we were truly able to deliver what we had offered in our proposal. Upon concluding that the offer was not a mistake, Kimberly enthusiastically shared the proposals she had collected to date with several members of their committee including an individual with significant experience and insight into the copier industry. Upon reviewing the proposals it was clear that Common Sense Business Solutions was offering the greatest value and St. Vincent de Paul entered into a relationship to lease a Konica Minolta Bizhub C451.
Over three years following the installation the Konica Minolta Bizhub C451 continues to provide a level of copying, printing, and scanning that St. Vincent de Paul had never achieved with their previous copy machines. In addition to providing faster, more efficient copying and printing for their administrative needs, the Konica Minolta Bizhub C451 also provides automated booklet creation with automatic folding and 2 point stapling making the weekly task of printing bulletins far less time consuming and more efficient. The service and support that St. Vincent de Paul has received has been an added benefit highlighted by personalized account and service representatives, consistently fast service response times, and proactive applications of critical equipment updates and services.
In summary, Common Sense Business Solutions has helped St. Vincent de Paul Church lower its costs by approximately 400% while providing superior service and support along with more efficient, feature-rich equipment resulting in an expanded range of materials that no longer have to be outsourced to printing companies.
Office Manager Kimberly Williams says:
“We contacted three other companies for bids and we found that Ross Wiffler and Common Sense Business Solutions had exactly what we were looking for. He has that sense of business service that is retrospective of the 1950s. Courteous, friendly, and when he says he will do something or be somewhere he is spot on. His pricing was very competitive and I am at relief that he has our best interests at heart.”
Walter & Prince Law Office
In November 2010 Common Sense Business Solutions had an initial meeting with Walter & Prince LLP, a law office in Healdsburg specializing in OSHA protection, prevention and defense.
Walter & Prince was having some challenges with their existing copier and it was not as efficient as they would have liked regarding handling their heavy copying, printing and scanning workload.
At the time we initially met, Walter & Prince had approximately a year remaining on their existing copier lease agreement and didn’t think that they had any options in regards to making changes prior to the end of their existing lease term.

Upon completing a thorough review of Walter & Princes copier lease agreement and copier service contract with their current vendor Common Sense Business Solutions determined that we were able to provide an immediate solution that allowing Walter & Prince to benefit from an early upgrade of their current lease agreement. Not only didn’t Walter & Prince pay a penalty to upgrade their current lease a year early but they were actually able to lower their costs by over $200.00 a month while upgrading to a faster, more efficient machine with a service and support contract that provided a level of support that they were not currently experiencing with their existing vendor.
Common Sense Business Solutions was able to provide Walter & Prince a rebate check that covered 100% of the funding due on their existing copier lease. In addition Common Sense Business Solutions assumed all responsibility and cost for shipping Walter & Prince’s current copier back to the location dictated by their lease company. Most importantly the Konica Minolta Bizhub C451 was faster, offered color copy and print functionality, increased paper capacity and greater overall efficiency. Walter and Prince has enjoyed a level of personalized, local support that has exceeded their expectations and they have enjoyed $200.00 monthly savings for the past 3+ years.
Office manager Cat Andre says:
“My office was not in the market for a copy machine when Common Sense Business Solutions called upon us as we still had approximately one year left on our current lease. We were however, unsatisfied with our dated equipment and they quickly assessed our situation and needs and offered a creative solution. We are very happy with our Bizhub C451 and more importantly, we are very happy and satisfied with the service and professionalism Ross Wiffler and Common Sense Business Solutions has provided.”
