Case Study: California Welcome Center – California Travel & Tourism Commission
Prior to meeting with Common Sense Business Solutions, The California Welcome Center was using a fairly limited copy and print system that did not allow them the ability to produce many of their printed marketing materials in house.
CSBS helped them with the Konica Minolta Bizhub C360 color printing system which has helped them save money and time by producing the vast majority of these materials on site. The Konica Minolta Bizhub C360 is producing everything from brochures to custom color envelopes with a consistent high quality that meets California Welcome Center’s exacting standards.
Printing their marketing materials on site has lowered the cost of each piece that is printed and has also lessened waste by drastically reducing their need to discard materials due to obsolescence. Because they are able to print only the quantity of materials needed at any given time they now have the flexibility to change and update their materials as warranted without having to worry about discarding pre-printed materials that become dated or obsolete. This “print on demand” philosophy has helped California Welcome Center update their materials more frequently, eliminate waste and save money.
Another area that has benefited The California Welcome Center is the Konica Minolta Bizhub C360’s ability to archive their commonly printed marketing pieces on the printer’s hard drive. This allows their staff and volunteers to easily locate their files right at the printer and simply recall and print them without the necessity of learning the settings necessary to properly print each individual job. Because the files and the print settings are saved together human error is eliminated and every user gets the desired result just by locating their file and pressing the start button.
Through the installation of the Konica Minolta Bizhub C360 color printing system Common Sense Business Solutions has helped the California Welcome Center to save money and time by producing the vast majority of their marketing collateral on site. This is another proof that print on demand is very helpful to any business that has multiple staff members that need to print commonly used materials on a regular basis.
